BrakeŽ Herbicide: A New Mode of Action for Weed Control in Cotton

Three new cotton preemergent herbicides, Brake F2, Brake F16, and Brake FX, should be commercially available for the 2016 growing season under a full Section 3 label. Each herbicide is a pre-mix including the active ingredient fluridone which has a mode of action (PDS inhibitor) not currently used for cotton weed control. Products will be discussed by region and research results will be summarized.
