Bacterial blight was found in 2015 in Texas on cultivars that are immune to race 18 of bacterial blight.  Blight ratings were made on a naturally infested field.  A collection of over 100 isolates was made from various field sites on both race 18 resistant and susceptible cultivars.  These isolates were then tested in the greenhouse for pathogenicity on different cultivars.
