Soil profile sampling, from the top six inches to a maximum depth of three feet, was conducted for multiple years at multiple locations in the southern rolling plains and Permian Basin of Texas.  .  Soil test nutrient levels were compared to realized cotton yields to evaluate management practices and opportunities for economic savings.  Many locations had significant residual nutrients, especially following years of drought.
