Pipe Planner,a furrow irrigation planning tool, will be tested to verify the accuracy and variability of water distribution in a field setting. Three soybean and cotton fields were chosen for the study. Soil moisture sensors with data loggers will be placed in the fields to monitor the advancement of water through the furrows. The data collected from the sensors will be analyzed to verify the accuracy of the Pipe Planner.
