A cut down 46 saw Continental Double Eagle saw gin stand was used to continue to test both standard and experimental gin saw tooth designs. Included in the test was the standard Continental gin saw tooth as well as both standard and experimental gin saws made for Continental saw gin stands. Significant differences were found in baled raw fiber quality and gin stand processing rate between the tooth designs tested. Significant differences were also found in textile processing parameters. This presentation will build on past research and report current progress.
