This oral presentation will be presented as part of the Soil Mamagement and Plant Nutrition component of the Consultant's Conference.  With the shift to more grain crops and fewer cotton acres, especially in the Mid-south, growers need to know the implications of cropping systems.  For example, the higher frequency of grain crops in a cropping system, results in greater nutrient removal but leads to higher organic residues remaining in the field.  The presentation will provided information from rotation research at Mississippi Stat euniversity and provide insight into nutrient removal.
