Growers indicate that they are interested in learning about alternative cropping systems that will increase cotton and peanut yields.  Such a cropping system was investigated to better understand optimal timing of sod burndown, differences in insect pressure, and impact on yield.  Cotton was strip tilled into either fall killed or spring killed bahiagrass at Tifton, GA and thrips densities were compared.
