The project focuses  mainly on comparison with Graphine oxide treated  cotton fabric and bare cotton fabric. and its main goal is :

-To develop graphine oxide based devices for the biomedical applications for improving health care.

                    -To produce antimicrobial cotton fabric

antimicrobial properties in to the cotton fabric can be developed by introducing antimicrobial material into the  the cotton fabric   through  facile surface    modification process .The use of commercial antimicrobial agents for the modification of textiles has been limited due to their toxcity, need of complex    post treatment processes, environmental pollution and multidrug-resistance property of bacteria. In order to overcome this  Nano particles are increasingly used for bio medical applications due to their ability to sense and detect pathogens.

graphine oxide is prefered  because of the chemical structure and properties of graphine oxide such as intrinsic luminescence, hydrophilicity, tunable band gap,                                                    biocompatibility and photocataytic  activities makes it suitable for biological and bio medical applications.

graphine oxide nano particle treated cotton fabric are not limited to antimicrobial properties but also significantly improves thermal stability of the cotton fabric and  developing  photo catalytic properties.
