The Effects of Pre-Emergence Herbicides on Neonicotinoid Seed Treatments

This paper will describe how the recent increase in residual and foliar applied herbicides to combat glyphosate resistance has coincided with the diminishing performance of insecticide and fungicide seed treatments which has led to concern that this substantial use of herbicides is impacting the effects of the commonly used seed treatments that are used to control thrips and seedling disease in cotton.
