Assessment of Cross-Resistance in Bollgard II and III: A Review of the Scientific Evidence

We review the literature and available data associated with cross-resistance among Bt proteins expressed in commercially-available cotton.  The focus on the current status of cross-resistance after several years of commercial availability relative to expectations based on pre-launch cross-resistance studies will be discussed.  We esp. focus on cases where susceptibilities have decreased to Bt cotton expressing a single protein and what the impact of this has been on the efficacy of pyramided products.
