This year’s workshop explores current research and education efforts and opportunities to promote expanded utilization of cotton fibers in textile and apparel products. The workshop is articulated around a keynote address by Ashley Thornton from Cotton, Inc., with the following topic: Presentation Title: Cotton University™: Extending Cotton’s Reach to Supply Chain Companies and Universities Cotton Incorporated’s newest marketing initiative reaches globally to supply chain companies with information, education and networking for cotton. This new initiative also works directly with faculty and students at U.S. universities and colleges in an effort to build awareness of cotton among the next generation of textile, sourcing, and retailing professionals.
