The best insecticide options in cotton when dealing with single or multiple pests, including those that may be resistant to some insecticides, will be addressed.  The tarnished plant bug is the key pest in the Midsouth. However, infestations cotton aphids, bollworm and stink bugs often co-occur with tarnished plant bug.  Therefore, appropriate use of rotation, tank mixed or pre-mixed insecticides is often needed.  This paper will discuss how various insecticide programs affect the control of pest complexes and yield in cotton.
