Improving Nitrogen Management in Cotton Production with Environmentally Smart Nitrogen (ESN)

Environmentally Smart Nitrogen (ESN) has proven to be an effective means of improving Nitrogen utilization in cotton.  ESN is a controlled released Nitrogen fertilizer, utilizing a polymer coated urea.  Benefits of ESN include season long Nitrogen availability, reduced probability of Nitrogen loss, and increased yields.  This paper will outline the use of ESN in cotton and highlight current research findings.
