Based on a core funded project by Cotton Incorporated, results will shared from our 5-state effort to decrease thips injury in seedling cotton by using starter ferilizer and a well timed foliar application.  Data suggest that incorporation of starter fertiizer increased the speed of growth and amount of plant biomass, thus making the plant more tolerant of seedling thrips injury.
