A new standard method for water content in cottons conditioned to moisture equilibrium (ASTM D7785) has been applied to a diverse set of samples. The research is not complete, however, until we have an understanding of the data and translate that knowledge to information that can help the industry. Preliminary insight into the meaning of trends in the data is presented.
