The Feasibility of Handling and Marketing Cotton in Short Ton Units

We examine the feasibility of grouping sequential cotton bales in four bale, "short ton" units at the gin for subsequent shipping, handling, and marketing.  The focus is on potential cost savings, particularly at the warehouse level.
