Status of Boll Weevil Eradication In Texas

This paper will provide information and statistics on the boll weevil eradication program and the pink bollworm program in Texas. The paper will discuss program progress in the active zones in South and East Texas. It will provide information on the 2011 growing season and mapped cotton acres in each zone. Historical and 2011 trapping and treatment information will be discussed. Program challenges and solutions will be discussed.
