Tests were conducted in gins during the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 ginning seasons to determine airflow rates and temperature control methods within various heated air seed cotton drying systems. The cooperating gins were located in Texas, New Mexico and the San Joaquin Valley, California.   Drying systems tested include:  tower, pipe, hot shelf, crossflow blow-box, hot box, hi-slip, jet, fountain – collider type and vertical type systems.
