Cottonscope – Rapid, Independent and Simultaneous Measurement of Both Cotton Fiber Linear Density (fineness) and Maturity

At the previous Beltwide meeting a paper was presented introducing the Cottonscope instrument for measuring fiber maturity based on the Siromat technology developed at CSIRO.  The Cottonscope instrument has now be further developed by Cottonscope Ltd, combining the Siromat technology with the Cottonscan technology (also developed at CSIRO) into one instrument that can independently measure both fiber maturity and average fiber linear density (fineness).  This paper will present results from using and evaluating this new Cottonscope instrument at CSIRO
