11521 Improving the Production and Drought Tolerance of Cotton through the Use of Conservation Tillage and Primed Acclimation

A novel cropping system involving the use of conservation tillage and developmentally timed deficit irrigation treatments will be discussed.  Experiments were conducted in 2009 and 2010 in Uvalde, TX under center pivot irrigation.  Results will include information on soil moisture profiles, crop water-use, yield, and quality.
