Drift of herbicides, especially auxin-type herbicides, onto cotton and other susceptible crops can be a concern for producers.  Development of dicamba and 2,4-D tolerant crops and utilization of glufosinate in Liberty Link varieties will increase concern over off-site movement.  Research was conducted in 2009 and 2010 to define the effects of simulated drift of dicamba, glufosinate, and 2,4-D on yield of cotton, peanut, soybean, and tobacco.  The influence of these herbicides on cotton yield and fruiting will be discussed.
