Cotton production has been changed forever in the Southeast by glyphosate-resistant Palmer amaranth.  DHT cotton is being developed and will provide resistance to topical applications of 2,4-D.  This technology, once commercialized, may provide growers an effective method to control glyphosate-resistant Palmer amaranth while reducing the economic burden Palmer amaranth has caused.  An experiment was developed to determine the most effective 2,4-D management program for the control of glyphsoate-resistant Palmer amaranth in DHT cotton .
