To enhance the basic cotton fibre attributes, the following cotton fibre attributes could be attached: micronaire value [M], uniformity index [UI %], color reflectance or brightness Rd% and fibre yellowness [+b]. These attributes are determined experimentally by the HVI.
According to the previously mentioned basic and attached & enhanced attributes, they could be extras. The cotton fibres that posses the extras attributes either basic or enhanced, they could be named extras cottons. We could write the extras Egyptian cotton as: hybridized & promising type G.77XS6, G.45 [the ancestor of the extras Egyptian cottons], G.92 and G.86.
In this study both of the extras basic or attached Egyptian cotton fibres attributes were measured experimentally by the worldwide American High Volume Instrument [HVI]. It was found that: the extra Egyptian cotton fibres length [UHM] is 37mm for hybridized & promising G.77XS6, the extra tenacity of the cotton fibre [T] is 754 M.pa. for G.92 cotton, and the extra percentage maturity [ ] is 89 that concerns the cotton G.86.
