A field trial evaluated eleven insecticides in multiple applications against tarnished plant bug in cotton St. Joseph, LA.  Treatments were applied on six dates (June - August) during the 2009 season.  Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications Efficacy was measured by sampling each 10 row feet in each plot at two-three days after application (DAI) and again at five-seven DAI using a black shake sheet. Seed cotton yields will be recorded as well.   Initial results suggest none of the treatments consistently maintained insect infestations below the action threshold.
