This study aimed to determine the differences in yarn properties of siro spinning technology and conventional plying process. As a reference, the single yarns were spun with the same parameters as others. In addition, the benefit of plied yarns compared to the single yarns was also analysed. Regarding yarn properties, siro spinning process is especially better for tensile properties while conventional plying process generates reduced yarn hairiness and some other yarn properties. It was found that the sirospun yarns have less hairiness and higher tensile strenghth. It enables to produce less hairy, stronger, and more extensible and more even yarns.
