The parasitic wasp Aridelus rufotestaceus was found in Georgia in 2007, where it was reared from the Southern green stink bug. We've conducted studies of the parasitoid to determine the effective temperature and host stage in the parasitoid development and survival. Third and fourth instar nymphs of the Southern green stink bug appear to be the most suitable stages, and parasitoid development and survival were significantly influenced by temperature.
