Novel Formulation of Mepiquat Chloride - 90WDG

Mepiquat chloride has traditionally been formulated and sold as a low concentration water based product, normally 4.2% active ingredient. Arysta has a patented method for manufacturing mepiquat chloride technical and the end use formulation as a dry product. Our formulation staff has developed a 90WDG formulation that will reduce shipping, warehousing and other associated costs for everyone in the distribution and user segment of this market. Use rates for mepiquat chloride are only grams per acre, by moving to this much more efficient formulation, growers can now carry a full day’s supply on the front seat of a pickup. In general terms a grower using 32 oz. of liquid mepiquat would only use 42 grams of the new 90WDG formulation. University testing has shown this new 90WDG formulation to have the same structure control in cotton as the long known liquid formulations. The new formulations will launch in 2010 as a Mepiquat chloride 90WDG and Mepiquat chloride 90WDG Plus Bacillus cereus for improved yields. NCC Beltwide Poster Submission
