The insect growth regulator Diamond alone and in tank mixes was evaluated for its efficacy towards Lygus hesperus.  Efficacy was acceptable at a rate of 9 fl-oz/acre or higher, or when tanked mixed at 6 fl-oz/acre with Carbine at 1.7 oz/acre or Acephate at 0.75 lbs/acre.  Carbine alone at 1.7 fl-oz (a low use rate) did not perform well.  Treatments of Acephate alone or with Diamond were the most efficacious treatments.  Yield data was not available at time of abstract submission.
