10618 Transcriptomics by Massive Parallel, Pyrosequencing of the Green Stink Bug: Functional Gene Ontology and New Targets for Control

A 454 transcriptome was developed to the green stick bug.  The assembly and annotation of the reads from massive, parallel pyrosequencing and an analysis of the functional gene ontology for these data will be presented along with strategies being used at North Carolina State University to develop novel methods to control this pest in cotton.
