China is the world’s largest cotton producer, consumer, and exporter of cotton. Estimation of China’s supply and demand presents particular challenges due to its size, diversity, and lack of consistent information, especially regarding production and consumption. This presentation will highlight recent developments in data and analytical methods used by USDA to estimate China’s supply and demand balance sheet.
