Winter weed control has taken on a whole new level of difficulty with the development of glyphosate resistant horseweed. Growers are faced with having to make a shift in mind set from weed control to weed management. Part of this management is focusing on controlling this weed when it is most susceptible, in the fall. Fall applications of residual herbicides have several benefits including resistance management. This presentation will focus on the benefits of winter weed management in the fall and the use of Valor Herbicide as a component of that management process.
