Seedling Vigor Effects On Evaluation of Genetic Resistance to Reniform Nematode in Gossypium hirsutum

To assess the effect of seedling vigor on response to inoculation by R. reniformis in greenhouse experiments, cotton seeds from genotypes with varying levels of resistance were aged in an accelerated fashion following previously published protocols.  Aging effects were verified using germination percentage and seedling growth rates.   Seedling vigor had no effect on response to inoculation with nematodes.
