Sources of resistance to reniform nematode were compared using a greenhouse screening method. Seedlings of parents, and F_2:3lines from each resistance source were inoculated with R. reniformis and incubated for 60 days. Results showed that resistance from G. longicalyx was far superior to purported resistance in G. hirsutum, and G. hirsutum resistance was not a heritable trait.
