Low cost Resistive moisture sensor uses a complementing pressure IR sensor to provide accurate contact moisture measurement independent of the amount of pressure the cotton applies on the sensor.  The IR sensor is positioned on the resistive sensing plate thus allowing the processor to correct the resistive readings for the pressure applied on the plate.

The sensor output can connect directly to any of ASCI controls:
To the ACCELERATOR - module feeder AUTOMATIC control system which adjusts feed rate as function of moisture and gin capacity at the moment.
To the SEEDCOTTON MOISTURE RESTORATION system which increase the (dry) seed cotton moisture levels to improve fiber quality, to benefit gin through put and enhance final bale moisture.
