Bayer CropScience is proud to introduce the initial GlyTol(tm) glyphosate-tolerant cotton varieties (event GHB614) for the 2009 season.  GlyTol cotton varieties will be primarily adapted for West Texas and the High Plains with availability in 220K bags.  Extensive laboratory, greenhouse and field studies across the Cotton Belt have been conducted to evaluate crop tolerance and agronomic characteristics of GlyTol cotton, including germination, emergence, plant growth, vigor, yield, harvestability and fiber quality. All research to-date indicates this technology will offer excellent crop tolerance to full label rates of various glyphosate products, with no impact on plant height, yield or fiber quality.
