A three-year field study conducted in the Texas High Plains under a limited irrigation production showed that cotton has the potential to compensate 20-25% pre-flower Lygus-induced square loss. This value could be incorporated in the COTMAN program to reflect the compensatory potential of cotton during the early fruiting period.
