Comparing NPK Recommendations from University and Private Soil Test Labs Under Changing Economic Conditions

This investigation is being conducted on three different soil typos.  A composite soil sample was collected from each soil type.  This sample was dried and ground.  A sub-sample of each was then supplied to five different labs (two University & three private).  A NPK recommendation for two-bale cotton was requested.  Input costs, net and total returns to producers are being compared under current past and possible future price scenarios.
