Multiple cotton varieties were ginned at low, medium, and high moisture contents.  Ginning was done with various sequences of seed-cotton cleaning to determine the effects on seed coat fragment content (manual measurement) and seed coat nep content (determined by the Advanced Fiber Information System [AFIS]).  Significant differences were found for machine sequence, moisture content, and variety for both of these measurements.  There were also some interesting interactions between these factors.
