Palmer amaranth is one of the most problem weeds in cotton in the United States. Temperature and light requirements for germination of Palmer amaranth seeds on the soil surface or buried over a 12-month period in the field will be discussed. The information from this research will aid to developing effective weed management strategies to control this weed.
