Studies were conducted to compare the agronomic and economic consequences of growing CT 210 (conventional variety), Phytogen 485WF and Stoneville 4554 B2RF cotton varieties in small irrigated plots in north and central Alabama. Subplots included standard grower practices plus no preplant herbicides and no bollworm/budworm insecticides. Yields, cotton lint quality, cost of production, and economic returns will be presented.
