A Genetic Map of Gossypium hirsutum by G. mustelinum

To date, genetic maps have been developed from interspecific crosses between Gossypium hirsutum and G. barbadense and G. hirsutum and G. tomentosum. In this research, an F2 population was developed from an interspecific cross between G. hirsutum and G. mustelinum. A genetic linkage map was constructed by using microsatellite molecular makers (SSRs). The similarities and differences between this and other published interspecific maps will be presented.
