Nfusion is a slow release nitrogen fertilizer, which contains a blend of methylene urea and triazone that contains 25% nitrogen, of which 94% is slowly available.  A field study was established to compare standard fertilizer rates of urea ammonium nitrate (UAN, 32% nitrogen liquid fertilizer) to two different Nfusion fertilizer blends.  Treatments included 0 N/acre, 40 lbs. N as UAN/acre, 50 lbs. N as UAN/acre, 40 lbs N/acre applied in a 30:70 blend of Nfusion and UAN, 50 lbs. N/acre applied in a 30:70 blend of Nfusion and UAN, 40 lbs N/acre applied in a 20:80 blend of Nfusion and UAN, 50 lbs. N/acre applied in a 20:80 blend of Nfusion and UAN.
