The Power Roll Gin Stand (PRT or Power Roll Technology) is a relatively new gin stand technology that has shown much promise in the ginning industry.  This paper summarizes the mechanical improvements made in the past five years at Servico, Inc.  Additionally, plant production and turnout improvements resulting from the PRT will be discussed.  Furthermore, ongoing research regarding power roll flap materials and shaft speeds, as they relate to fiber quality, will be presented.
