Influence of Stance TM and Mepiquat Chloride on Cotton Leaves and Lint Yield

Field experiments were conducted in summers of 2006 and 2007 to determine the influence of two PGR’s Stance TM and mepiquat chloride on cotton leaf area, leaf weight and thickness, chlorophyll and anthocyanin content of leaves and lint yield. Treatments did not differ in chlorophyll content, anthocyanin content or leaf thickness. The data indicate that leaf morphology and pigment contents are not different between the two growth regulators.
