DP 174 RF is a new variety containing Roundup Ready Flex technology, and exhibits mid-maturity. Our data indicate that this new variety has shown high yield potential, as indicated by its ability to yield numerically similar to DP 555 BG/RR. Fiber quality is very good, with very good staple length, micronaire, strength, and uniformity values demanded by an international market. Additionally, DP 174 RF contains the marker gene for southern root knot resistance, and has displayed tolerance in the field to that pest. Quantities will be adequate for sale in the 2008 season.
