The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture released six cotton germplasm lines in 2007. These lines vary with respect to yield, adaptation, yield components, fiber properties, and specific morphological and host plant resistance traits. The six lines include one nectariless line (Arkot 9608ne), three lines with excellent fiber quality (Arkot 9610, Arkot 9620, and Arkot JJ46), and two lines with relatively good yielding characteristics (Arkot 9623 and Arkot 9525). These lines provide new genetic material to public and private cotton breeders with documented adaptation to the Mid-south cotton region.
