Texas race stocks and other wild cottons were screened for resistance to the thrips complex of the Texas High Plains, and for resistance to the cotton aphid. Progress in screening for thrips resistance was made in the last year, with over 300 accessions screened. Several accessions showed strong resistance. The methodology for cotton aphid screening is under development at this time.
