A Comparison of Two Cotton Cultivars Differing in Maturity for Within-Canopy Fiber Properties

A two-year study was conducted near Florence, South Carolina using DPL 555Bt/RR and Paymaster 1218Bt/RR. Lint yield and HVI fiber properties of the whole crop were measured. A meter of row was hand-harvested by canopy position in each plot and AFIS fiber properties were determined on individual bolls.
