Spatially variable defoliation based on normalized difference vegetative index imagery was evaluated in 2007.  Evaluation was conducted on a production cotton field in Louisiana.  Treatments compared were spatially variable and single rate broadcast defoliation. Treatments were arranged in a randomized block design with four replications.  All treatments were applied using an Airtractor 502 equipped to make spatially variable treatments.  Treatments were evaluated by comparison of cotton lint quality parameters.
