Provado is postiulated to have yield enhancement properties above that obtained from insect control alone. This trial was initiated to investigate this possibility and identify whether there is a relationship between cotton stress level and yield response. Provado and two other insecticides were applied to three fields in California's San Joaquin Valley. The fields were selected for high levels of variability in stress level in the treated areas. The stress level and extent was identified through the use of NDVI analysis of aerial images acquired throughout the growing season. Provado increased yields over the other two insecticides and had its greatest efficacy at intermediate stress levels.
